The Galettes des Rois is a traditional January cake in France.
This year our galettes will have a ceramic charm and a paper crown.
We make a large one for 4 people and individual ones.
The individual ones have no charm inside, no crown.
In Northern France, it is made with a puff pastry filled with frangipane. (almond cream)
In France, a porcelain charm is placed inside the cake. The person who gets it is King or Queen!
